Special Wine Dinner Event with Local Celebrity Mike Thompson Watercolor 30A

Mike and Valerie Thompson, high school sweethearts from College Station, Texas, have combined their passion for philanthropy and winemaking into a life filled with purpose and success. Mike, with a background in business and a career spanning energy services to electronics manufacturing, found his love for wine during a Napa Valley trip in 1997. Valerie, after years dedicated to raising their daughters, co-founded the Chi Chi Miguel Throwdown, a charity event that has raised millions for local causes.

In 2014, they established Thompson 31Fifty Wines in the Russian River Valley, cultivating a boutique vineyard known for its exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. With the expertise of vineyard manager Ulises Valdez and winemaker Patrick Sullivan, the Thompsons have created a label that reflects their commitment to quality and elegance. Their wines, produced in limited quantities, are a testament to their dedication to excellence and passion for winemaking.

The Thompsons' philanthropic efforts extend to their roles as founding board members of the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, where they leverage their love for wine to support various charitable causes. Their events, including the renowned Chi Chi Miguel Throwdown, attract vintners, chefs, and celebrities, making a significant impact on the community. Through their combined efforts in winemaking and philanthropy, Mike and Valerie Thompson continue to leave a lasting legacy.
