Bastien Tardieu:
Bastien Tardieu, son of Michel and Michèle Tardieu, graduated from Lycée d’Enseignement Général et Technologique Agricole of Montpellier with degrees in viticulture and oenology, and from the University of Pharmacy of Montpellier with a national diploma of œnology (DNO).
Since 2008 he has worked side-by-side with his father as winemaker at Domaine Tardieu-Laurent, and with the 2009 vintage, Bastien became the lead oenologist for the family’s winery. In addition to his invaluable training with his father, Bastien has sought a broad range of experience through seasonal work at Mudhouse Winery, Marlborough, New Zealand, as supervisor of the press area; at Torbreck Estate Winery, Barossa Valley, Australia, as assistant winemaker responsible for berries tastings for maturity control and management of both red and white winemaking; and at Rosemount Estate, Hunter Valley, Australia, where he was assistant winemaker during the winter of 2009.
During his studies in France, Bastien worked at the Institut Coopératif de la Vigne et du Vin, Baumes de Venise, in oenologic products management and as assistant winemaker with Tardieu-Laurent’s oenologist, Philippe Cambie, from whom he learned important tasting skills and oenologic analysis. During the winemaking training course for his DNO, Bastien apprenticed at Domaine du Clos du Caillou, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, as cellarhand, reporting on factors of survival during alcoholic fermentation; also as cellarhand at Domaine de la Liquière, Lenthéric, and at Domaine de Capion, Gignac. Viticulture and winemaking training courses at Domaine du Clos Marie, Lauret, France, were completed in 2003 and 2004 for his advanced degrees.
Jeremie Peckre:
Originated from Languedoc, Jérémie started to acquire the taste for viticulture followed by winemaking. Holidays spent working in the vineyards of Cabrières PDO gave him the passion for vine.
Agriculture engineer from ESAPupan, he turned to winemaking and oenology. After a few vinifications in the South of France, he takes charge of the technical direction of estate Les Cailloux in Châteauneuf du Pape where he elaborates the vintages of one of the biggest and awarded domain of Châteauneuf du Pape along with André Brunel et Philippe Cambie.
After 10 years spent at Les Cailloux, he takes up the challenge offered by Château Paradis in Provence. Although managing entirely the estate, Jérémie is still in charge of the viticulture and the winemaking process. Along with Michel et Bastien Tardieu, they elaborated high quality wines, highly noted from their earliest cuvées.
Talented vinemaker, he gives terroir a modern touch for fine wines with skillful balance.
